HMS Montgomery (G95)[inna nazwa: USS Wickes (DD-75)] was initially an American and then a British destroyer of World War I, the interwar period and World War II. The keel for this unit was laid in 1917, the launch took place in June 1918, and the entry into service with the US Navy - also in 1918. The total length of the ship at the time of launching was 95.8 meters and a width of 9.43 meters. The displacement reached approx. 1,250 tons, and the maximum speed reached approx. 35 knots. The armament at the time of launch consisted of four single 102 mm guns, a single 76 mm gun and four triple 533 mm torpedo tubes.

The USS Wickes (DD-75) was the leading unit of the destroyer class of the same name, with a total of 111 ships. Destroyers of this type were designed primarily with the aim of achieving the highest possible speeds, but also in such a way that they could be produced on a large scale. Finally, a series of destroyers with four funnels (hence the often nickname "four-pipe") and a relatively simple structure of the superstructure and deck were created. The leading unit of this class, i.e. the USS Wickes (DD-75), took a very small part in World War I, and in 1922 it was placed in reserve, from where it returned to the line in 1930. She was returned to the reserve in 1937, but returned to the line after the outbreak of World War II. In 1940, the destroyer was handed over to the Royal Navy, where it changed its name to HMS Montgomery (G95). After reaching Great Britain, it was relatively quickly modernized and adapted to the role of an escort destroyer. In the years 1942-1943 he served as a convoy in the Atlantic, and in February 1944 he was assigned to the reserve of the British fleet. The unit was scrapped in 1945.
